A secretive criminal faction of witches who hold territory in the deteriorating district of Six Towers. Regarded in Doskvol’s underworld as powerful, strange, and deeply unsettling. The Sisters rarely appear in person, preferring to communicate through intermediaries or—on rare occasions—through the shuttered window of a black lacquered carriage. All of the Sisters dress in fine velvet and wear veils — even in direct meetings, a veil intervenes.
- The Old Town Echoes sheltered at Lancaster’s Carriage House—unknowingly within Dimmer Sisters territory—on 1 January, 848 IE, while evading the Reclaimer’s Circle. A representative arrived by black carriage drawn by Acrosian goats and informed the crew the property was her sister’s claim. She made clear the crew were welcome to continue using the space, provided they came to speak with the Sisters at their manor first, and had the coachman deliver an unmarked card bearing the address. - Struck a formal deal with the Old Town Echoes through Sister Beatrice at the Sisters’ manor in Six Towers: cede turf claim on Lancaster’s Carriage House in exchange for (1) delivery of Lancaster’s bottled spirit, and (2) completion of a job—steal a gold tribal artifact from the vault of Lord Kilgrave in Brightstone and replace it with a replica, without Kilgrave learning of the swap.
