They are also historically effective thieves and smugglers, taking on jobs to procure items across the Empire. The ringmaster of the circus is [[Barnaby Dawes]], who with his wife [[Idira Dawes]], sons [[Liam Dawes]] and [[Collum Dawes]], and daughter-in-law [[Jocelyn Dawes]], operates the amusements and the gang.
